V.E.T.S. Remains Vigilant

Veteran Emergency Transition Services (V.E.T.S.) acknowledges electronic receipt of Mr. Anders apology issued in the House of Commons on 06 March 2012.  We note that Mr. Anders has not resigned from the Standing Committee on Veteran Affairs. Reportedly, Mr. Anders was not at the Tues afternoon meeting of the Standing Committee on Veteran Affairs.

V.E.T.S. is aware of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) modus operandi concerning public incidents including, but not restricted to:

  • Use of disciplined and well-briefed persons such as Minister Blaney and Eve Adams as point persons.  These persons remain on message deflecting questions and pressure from the issue.  These persons become the “face” of the operation allowing the key individual to fade into the background during the information campaign.
  • Issuing apologies as a “stop” to prevent a situation from degrading further.
  • Effective use of other issues to distract public awareness.
  • Effective use of “time.”  Key persons will fade into the background only to resurface in the same position once the public is distracted.

V.E.T.S. remains vigilant.

“We were soldiers once.  We were taught to bring all our resources to bear on the mission.  The mission was, and remains, the removal of Mr. Anders from the Standing Committee of Veteran Affairs.”

Jim Lowther CD

President

Veteran Emergency Transition Services (V.E.T.S.)

V.E.T.S. is a very small organization.  In many ways, the situation has grown beyond our control as thousands of veterans have supported our call that Mr. Anders step down from the Standing Committee of Veteran Affairs.  We call upon our brothers and sisters to increase their email, tweeting, letter writing, and phone calls to their respective MPs to voice their support for V.E.T.S. position.
